Nov 25, 2021 #5509106What drives you?John H HolidayParticipantNov 25, 2021
I’ve just had a kid. Dog passed away recently and I’m not loving my sales job.
I’ve been running through all of the training and going back to my favorite episodes of the podcast to try and find a bit of drive in my life.
I feel like the game has changed with the kido coming along and if this was a computer game, I’m just about to level up.
So my question to the community is, what drives you?

It really hit me hard when my childhood dog passed away. I can only imagine that it’s even more difficult for an adult that raised a dog (rather than being a kid who just terrorised it with cuddles).

John,
Congrats on the kiddo and deepest sympathies on losing your pup, that never gets easier. Just my 2 cents, drive changes as you naivagte different times in your life. Give yourself a little grace to navigate the changes and relish in the happiness of that baby:)
I have to get my mind right almost daily as to not get frustrated by the way certain things in sales are done or handled.
I love the interaction with me teammates, my buyers and the challenge it presents. This year I am being driven by more objective data I am coming up with as I go through this academy and start a new year:)Dec 23, 2021 #5509229Will BarronKeymasterDec 23, 2021Will Barron Dec 23, 2021Congrats on the kiddo and deepest sympathies on losing your pup, that never gets easier. I am new to this and won’t take much of your time.
Before the pandemic, I was in a completely different industry, selling personal training. I was laid off three times with the pandemic and really struggled with motivation. I had some really low moments. But eventually, going through a difficult time gave me the confidence to try my hand at a career I would never have believed I could do, and now I sell digital marketing, and I am in B2B sales.
For what it is worth, sometimes tuff times can become the motivation for you to do great things, especially if you have a support system that believes in you!
Cheers and Happy holidays to you and your family!
