    Hey Will – here’s my ‘loop’ for review . This one is for a SEO demo that I’m giving on Friday to a business that provides doggy daycare, grooming etc

    Feature:
    Get your business ranking at the top of google for the services that you want to focus on – grooming, walks and dogboardng.

    Benefit:
    3k potential customers looking for grooming, walks and dogboardng will see your website at the top of google.

    Based on industry numbers this means x people will visit website, y people will pick up the phone, z people will become customers.

    Confirmation:
    Do you think ranking at the top of google will help your business?

    Desire:

    This will help you towards your goal of getting another 10 dogs per day.

    Your website does the heavy lifting, giving you time back to work on the business.

     

    I need to fill in the gaps for those numbers to make it quantifiable for the bottom line.

    This will help you towards your goal of getting another 10 dogs per day.

    I’m not sure getting X clients is a desire –

    • Why do they want new clients?
    • What does that give them?

    It could be –

    • Enough revenue to hire more helpers so that the owner can make it home at a reasonable hour.
    • It could be the financial security of not being so close to break even each month.

    If you can get that layer deeper in your demos/calls you will turn your service from a nice-to-have to a must-have.

    Got it –  that makes sense. I’m finding out a rational goal and moving on. Rather than hitting the emotional one.

    You’re up late!

    Yep, the deeper you can go into the real desires of the prospect the more impact you’ll have. It also tends to make their future reality look bigger, bolder and brighter too.

    When the prospects future reality looks awesome, they’re more likely to want to run towards it.
