    Question on commission payment structure

    Hi all

Got a question re commission payment structure – we have just had a change and trying to assess whether it makes it difference, here’s an example to illustrate the the point:

    • Old world – paid a % for every sale we make in a month for sales over 20k
    • New world – paid a % for every sale we make in two months of sales over 40k

On the face of it it feels harder as you need to be more consistent.

But if you are consistent , it’s arguably the same?

    Thoughts?

Sorry Jono, not sure what you mean by “in a month” vs “in two months”. Might be me being dim here.

Do you mean a percentage of revenue of first month VS first and second months business?

    If you’re selling enough it doesn’t matter…

if you are not selling enough & have been pushing deals into the next month because you are hitting the numbers then it will effect you.
