Is the role of the SDR over?

Our leadership just let half our SDR team go. Word on the street is that they want to lean into ChatGPT and AI tools to get the same work done with less overheads.

I do full stack AE sales and don’t rely on my SDR and so this doesn’t really affect me business wise but I wanted to see if anyone else is seeing this trend?

I think a lot of the SDR doom and gloom will come down to automation tools/AI and if they actually live up to all the hype. I know Will isn’t bullish on this at the moment but time will tell!

I think there’s going to be a lot more “full stack account executives” in the next few years.

That’s why I’ve never split our training program into SDR/AE. My prediction a long time ago was that that model would eventually fail.

    It’s a shitty buyers journey.
