May 20, 2023 #9011719I feel like I’m stuckAndreas ZenaisParticipantMay 20, 2023
This community might have come at the perfect time for me. I feel really stuck in my sales role and I don’t know who to turn to.
I’ve been handing my CV in all over the place and I can’t seem to catch a break.
Are companies not hiring in the UK right now?
May 20, 2023 #9011740Will BarronKeymasterMay 20, 2023Will Barron May 20, 2023Lots of companies hiring sellers with a successful track record.
How did you do last quarter/year?
What is making you feel stuck in your role?
May 20, 2023 #9011744Lauren BaileyParticipantMay 20, 2023Lauren Bailey May 20, 2023I think the market is probably depressed for new hires. But as Will said, if you can show a proven track record most hiring managers will jump on a call with you.
Are you blindly emailing your CV out or are you “selling” these people like you would a prospect?
May 29, 2023 #9011960Avtar CheemaParticipantMay 29, 2023Avtar Cheema May 29, 2023If you have had a poor quarter or two, and still applying for a new role like me, I would say its not about what happened but what you are doing to correct poor performance
tell the hiring managers about your sales studies, new attitude, sales practise, consistency and a balanced life .
If you tell a hiring manager ‘i failed at this and this, but i am doing xyz and practising abc’, they will have much more respect for you, because they have failed too, some of them big time
you cant win without failing, so dont be afraid to fail, keep practising and one day you will nudge forward in your chosen direction
