Has anyone else noticed that people don’t stick around in sales?

We’ve massive turn over in our team at the moment. Why? I can only imagine because people are nervous about the economy and they’re using that as an excuse for poor results.

In fact, I don’t know anyone that has left in recent memory who hasn’t been behind on quota.

My point though is that, most of these people leaving are changing careers.

My question is, what is the difference between the salespeople who stick around and have success (5-10 years) and those that don’t make it to the point of mastering the craft?

I’m not sure but I think it would be interesting to know if it’s the same % of people that shift from other careers too.

Does sales have a high turn over or does most industries that entry level roles that are accessible (i.e. not including job turn over from neurosurgeons etc).

    Sales is tough.

I’d bed 100% of the people who have left don’t have access to a community/coaching like what you do.

That can be difference between quitting and persevering.

Because sales is a zero sum game (meaning that there’s only one winner per deal) it can seem ruthless.

That is until you’re winning. Then it feels great.

Soooo the difference between the people who stick it out and those that done? They won business and got addicted to it.
