Apr 20, 2023 #9011232Do I start with LinkedIn or lead database?Hadeel DabbaghParticipantApr 20, 2023
Hi Will and everyone,
My last campaign which seems to have well for a first campaign, I started searching for the ICP on LinkedIn, then got their email addresses from Seamless and added them to the campaign.
My next campaign I’m going to try Apollo.. However, I’m wondering if there’s a reason I should start with finding the ICP on LinkedIn vs searching for them directly in Apollo? It cuts away a step from the tedious process, but not sure if there would be impact on lead quality?
Thanks for your guidance!
Hadeel

Apollo and all these tools are typically scraping LinkedIn for info and so are always a step behind.
Are you using the Chrome plugin for Seamless/Apollo?
That allows you to do the search on LinkedIn and then with one click pull all those peoples details into the contact app.

I am using the plugin but finding myself a little lost in LinkedIn lists.. This is the process I’m following:
– I create a LinkedIn saved search with my ICP, but that search has many leads (some many have been targeted already, some not yet, and some I tried to target but couldn’t find their info)
– So to help myself figure out who I should be targeting next, I created 2 lists, one for people who were included in my campaign, another for those I couldn’t find contact info for or contact info was invalid (to perhaps try them again with another tool).. As I determine if someone is going into a campaign, or if the contact app doesn’t give me contact info, or if their email bounces, I put them in one of those two lists.
So now when I go through the search it’s easier to see who is already part of a list and who I should be adding next to the contact app.. However this process feels cumbersome in terms of list management, so not sure if there’s a better way to manage it?

- Here’s a good tutorial on the search process itself – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vnfIsGc2_g
- If a list is bigger than 100-200 people then add more criteria to narrow it down. Then pull the entire list each time.
- If you then change the criteria you shouldn’t have the same people in the second search.
- When I talk about a “list” this is external to LinkedIn (i.e. you have done a search, it had 50 people on it, you scrapped all of their emails with X tool and exported to a spreadsheet. That is now your list).
Let me know if that makes sense.
Otherwise I’ll record a quick video as it’s probably easier to explain whilst sharing my screen.

I’d like to see a quick video Will. What I’m doing is working but I’m doing it a completely different way to this.
