    Building a lead list…?

So recently we had our inbound leads taken away and now we are 100% hunting for leads and prospects. I’ve changed my mindset and started to hunt but I’m running out of leads for the 2 major targeted areas I had. Our service sells to smb and enterprise customers that is very pricey and could be 25k to 45k installation and monthly around $1000 but our foot prints are small compared to other companies that provide the same product. How would you ramp up lead gen for business parks? Cold calling? Cold emails? Linked in? D2d?

    Hey Barry,

There’s a chapter on building lead lists in the book – Page 80 onward.

RE “ramping up lead gen” – Do you have a proven process to ramp up or are you starting from scratch?

If you have something that kinda works then you need to remove what isn’t working and do more of what is –

If you’re starting from scratch then we need to go a little deeper.

If I were doing this, I’d spend some time (but not too much!) building the list, then make a multi-front approach using calls and emails.

Once you have the list, what do you plan to say to them? Will’s graphic he posted pretty much says it – what thing do people in that business complain about? How does your product help with that?

Hint: Your own support/service backend knows what the most common complaints are with your product. Odds are, your competitors products have the same or similar weaknesses. That might give you a starting point to develop your approach.

Thanks Jeff, I am going to try that this coming week and see how well it goes (emails, cold calls, and linked in)
