    Bank of American BANNED cold calling for their sales teams!

    Hi Will,

    “Bank of America’s Merrill Lynch Wealth Management’s advisor training program is banning cold calls and pushing its 3k trainees to use internal referrals or LinkedIn DMs to attract potential clients, reports the WSJ.”

    What does this mean for phone selling and the future of sales? Should we still be phone selling? If so, what percentage of our touches should be on the phone?

    The point is, if cold calling works for you then DO IT.

    But it’s effectiveness is going to diminish rapidly from this moment onward.
