OK, I’m having success. I’m not sure my industry (medical devices, NHS UK) is really effected by recessions. And so, I should be feeling great, right?
Yes! You’ve put in the work and you’re reaping the rewards.
And, the NHS is always skint. I don’t think a recession hitting your customer is an issue. It’s more if the company that you work for has issues raising funding etc itself.
I’m not sure if it’s impostor syndrome or if I’m being pessimistic and I’m waiting for things to fall apart.
Any impostor syndrome will settle down as you drive this revenue for longer periods of time.
I always feel like I’m “faking it until I making it” when I’ve just stretched my comfort zone.
Either way, how can I sure up my security?
Do you have 3-12 months cash as an emergency fund?
Are you paying into a pension? Do you know how much money you need to secure your retirement?
Are you active on LinkedIn so if you did lose the role, you’re in a position to quickly find another one?
That’s what I’d be doing to raise my resilience.
