Do you need to connect with people in person to learn or progress your career? AND you’re extroverted and like randomly starting conversations? Then conference can be great.
When I’ve attended conferences (to learn rather than to sell) I’ve tended to watch the keynotes and then decompress away from all the networking so I don’t get much more from them than what I could get by watching the event online.
Heck, if you really want to learn, sitting at a desk and making notes is going to work better.
